Additional prize!!!!!! Prize code AP27. A Tuesday night Chef’s table degustation dinner for two, including wine, to the value of $200 at Attica. The first time I visited Attica it was for the Tuesday night Chef’s Table dinner and I was stunned by the quality and innovation and the value of this chef’s table dinner at $60 for five courses. A few weeks later I returned with four friends. Although in a suburban location this place is a rising star in the local dining scene.

Prize code: AP15Prize detail: A review with Stephen Downes.Menu of Hope is on again and this year I have persuaded Stephen Downes to offer a very special prize – a chance to accompany him on a review for the Herald Sun, Australia’s highest circulating daily newspaper. This is Stephen’s 30th year reviewing making him the most experienced working reviewer in Australia. The fact that he is banned by a local cartel of restaurateurs is testament to his fearless approach to reviewing. This is a once only opportunity to meet and learn from a pro, the man who tells us when the chef has no cloths.

  1. It’s the stupidly high scores that he gives everyone else that shits me. You could dish him up a dozen oysters natural at the Anglers Tavern, but as long as he got a proper napkin (not paper, oh god no) and the TV was turned down in the background he would give you 18 out of 20. 19 if you didn’t charge for bread.

  2. Steve, go for it. I’ll persuade you down at BA’s Friday.
Ken’s, what score did he give you?

Stephen, I’m sure you are destined to meet one day.

  3. I’m quite sure I would have enjoyed first prize. But I’m afraid I would need airfare…

  4. Ohh, first prize could be a problem. I’m not sure I’ll really enjoy the meal as I will be concentrating on restraining myself from stabbing him in the eye.

  6. Steve – I’d be happy with some of your pastry, some cheese and a serve of prosciutto over the slightly dodgy tallish Ed…..Brew.

  7. Bugger first prize, I’d be happy with the 9 bottles of home brew.
